A disadvantage of focusing on frequent sequences

Another disadvantage of looking at only the most frequent sequences is that some temporal information is lost. We included the game segments early, mid, and late in our Dota 2 data to see how gameplay changed as the game progressed. Thankfully, this information can be used to preserve some of the temporal contexts while focusing the analysis on frequent sequences. Using the same functions, but with group=playerData$segment added to the function parameters, we can produce the most frequent sequences in each game segment, as can be seen in the scripts in the lab. The figure below shows these groupings.
