Challenges in Machine Learning

We mentioned several networks that have considerably enhanced computer vision capabilities and have thereby enabled a flurry of new applications. Such networks are now in use in commercial applications, and these commercial networks are sometimes even larger than the ones discussed here. Getting these large networks to work appropriately requires a lot of training and, sometimes, additional tricks. Here we mention a few common techniques that are used frequently. It is worthwhile to study these techniques further, and we will mainly outline some of those techniques here and will have more discussions on some of their details in later chapters.
