Bell’s Theorem

Get an overview of Bell’s theorem in quantum computing.

The first issue we will look at is the nature of reality. That sounds really profound, but it is an issue that underpins the consequences of entangled superposition states—the main ingredient in many QIS procedures. Thanks to the theoretical work of the late physicist John Bell and the experimental work of dozens of scientists around the world, we now have experimental proof that nature really does work in what seems to be the crazy way described by entangled states, and that any efforts to sneak around the strictures of quantum mechanics are doomed to fail.
