State Vectors
Understand how state vectors are used to represent quantum states and how they’re comparable with the vectors in the physical space.
In quantum computing, these state symbols are called “state vectors” because they are given mathematical properties that are similar to the mathematics of vector quantities like velocity, force, and acceleration, represented pictorially by arrows that point in a particular direction. The length of the vector indicates the “strength” of the quantity. You’ve probably seen vectors on weather maps, where the arrows (vectors) are used to indicate wind direction and speed.
