Two Qubit Gates

We are now ready to learn how to carry out operations on entangled and other two-qubit quantum states. We will consider only gates that have two inputs and two outputs. As we noted in the Successive Application of the Same Quantum Gate lesson, such gates can be reversible. That means we can use the gates to act on states to produce new states and then apply them again to revert to where we started, if so needed.
