Course overview

To start off, we learned about what transformers are, what the ecosystem of transformers is, and explained its evolution. This was followed by some background on NLP to understand the architecture of the original transformer model and its types (for example BERT, RoBERTa, T5, GPT-3 etc.). We also looked at how transformer models are used for various tasks and how their performances are evaluated, giving us a better idea of which tasks various models are best suited for.
