Summary

In this chapter, we demonstrated how to replicate and diagnose the regression model results from a published study. In this process, we also illustrated how to move from theoretical expectations, expressed in hypotheses, to a population regression model, and then how to use the estimates from a sample regression model to make inferences about the parameters in the population regression model. We also showed how to conduct various robustness tests of the original findings, as well as how to report and discuss the estimation results.
