My advisor in college was very supportive of me. She placed me in positions where I would succeed.

Whenever my advisor sent an opportunity my way, I would try it and try to make the best out of it. Since I knew that her career had been very similar to what I wanted to go into, I fully trusted her and the opportunities that she brought to the table. With the help of my advisor’s recommendations I was able to secure a good job right out of college. I graduated with an English degree and was able to build my resume up in a way that made me marketable.

I had this one advisor in college who was really great. I initially liked her because she had nice clothes, but not as nice as my favorite Professor. My advisor was a Professor too, but she wasn’t my favorite. Anyway, she helped me to land some good positions that I think really helped me. She pushed me towards this role, in fact. She’s a really great lady.
