What This Course is All About 💫

This lesson gives an overview of what this course covers and its intended audience. Let's dive right in!

About this course

Front-end interviews are not the easiest.

How do I prepare? Where do I start? Which resources do I use and which ones do I not?

These are some of the common questions that pop in our heads when we begin preparing for an interview. There is undoubtedly a wide range of possibilities for questions asked during the interview, and the Internet presents an equally broad and diverse range of resources we can use to prepare. Sufficient to say, this can overwhelm even the most skilled of us.

This course attempts to compile a comprehensive range of questions, both from theory and applied coding challenges, that you are most likely to be tested on during front-end interviews. This course, therefore, hopes to serve as a stand-alone guide for those who are starting to prepare for front-end interviews and want to become a front-end developer.

📝 Special note: This course can certainly be taken separately but is designed as part of a front-end developer interview prep track which includes courses on JavaScript, CSS, Data Structures, and Algorithms as well as a course on several general topics that a front-end developer should know. In each of these courses, we have tried to maintain clear boundaries and minimize overlap. However, HTML without CSS and JavaScript is like ice cream without sweetness. So, some parts of this course will test your knowledge of JavaScript and CSS, as well.

Prerequisites

Please bear in mind that this course is an interview refresher and is not designed for those who are just stepping into the realm of HTML. Therefore, it assumes you are familiar with the fundamentals of HTML.

This course starts with the most fundamental concepts of the HTML language that the interviewer will expect a candidate to know. It then progresses on to the more intermediate and advanced topics on HTML, preparing you to tackle front-end interviews at any level.

Course perks

The course has plenty of hands-on challenges and quizzes. Some of the questions are commonly asked during the interviews; others are added to help you practice a concept to answer any hard or tricky questions related to it.

Road to getting started

You’ll start the course by evaluating yourself. The next lesson offers a quiz testing the basics of HTML. This will help you decide if you need to revise some concepts first or jump directly into the challenges ahead.
