The categories endpoint

Let’s consider a scenario where we want to find a GIF that’s related to a TV show or movie from a large pool of various GIFs. It may take us a long time to find it, so it’s helpful if we can search from a pool of categorized GIFs. For example, categories like "TV," "Cartoons and Comics," "Action," and so on.

GIPHY’s categories endpoint can help us with this. It essentially provides us with a list of all GIF categories on the GIPHY network, which we can use in our application to arrange items. For each category, a featured GIF that represents that category is also returned. The endpoint doesn't take any request input parameters except for the GIPHY API key.
