Welcome to the Educative Technical Writing Workshop! We are so glad that you signed up and are excited to guide you through the process. Please read the entirety of this mini-course to get a handle on how to write a good Answer.
The purpose of this workshop is to help you practice working with a review process. Here at Educative Answers, we want to help you improve your writing skills and advance your career. Effective writing will assist you as you write code comments, documentation, or any form of written communication.
This Fall Technical Writing Workshop is hosted by Adora Nwodo.
Nenne Adaora Nwodo, professionally known as Adora Nwodo, is a multi-award winning Software Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria. She currently works at Microsoft, where she builds Mixed Reality on the Cloud. Adora has a robust Software Engineering background with a First Class Computer Science degree from the University of Lagos. Adora enjoys making innovative technology on the Cloud. She is also the Vice President of the Nigerian VR/AR Association chapter. Her work there involves creating more awareness for Virtual and Augmented Reality Technologies.
Overview of guidelines
These guidelines will help you understand how to create a profile on Educative.io and how to use Educative Answers. We want to make sure you are all set to begin writing once the workshop begins! These guidelines will entail:
- Timeline: A timeline of the workshop.
- What to expect: This lesson will give you a quick step-by-step guide as to what to expect during the workshop.
- How to use Educative Answers: Here we will go over how to update your profile and create an Answer.
- Widgets and how to use them: This lesson will explain all of the widgets available on Educative Answers.
- What is Technical Writing?: This lesson will explain the purpose of Technical Writing.
- Grammar: We will have a brief overview of some basic English grammar.
- How to write well: In this lesson, we will discuss how to approach writing and producing strong written work.
- What is an Answer: Here we will go over Educative Answers' standards and what we expect in all Answers.
- How to get started writing: Here we will give you some tips and trick to get started.
