Conclusion
Let’s wrap up our discussion on Deno and see what’s next!
In this course, we learned the basics of TypeScript, and then we built a simple CRUD REST API with Deno and Oak.
You can now use the codebase you learned here and integrate it with a database like MongoDB or PostgreSQL. We would suggest exploring this new runtime and building a few projects with it.
If you had any difficulty with the concepts discussed throughout this course, or if you’re just starting out with backend web development, we suggest learning Node.js first because it has a much larger community and is currently more popular than Deno. Node.js and Deno will co-exist, so it’s beneficial to learn how to use them both.
Best of luck in your future endeavors!
