Overview

In 2020, GitHub added a feature that allowed users to create a custom repository that contains a README file and serves as their GitHub profile. To that end, we’ll create a GitHub README profile that allows us to add our skills, introduction, GitHub contribution graph, and other information that will enhance our GitHub profile and serve as proof of work.

How to create a repository

Follow these steps to create a personal Readme profile.

  1. Follow these steps to create a personal README profile.
  2. Before starting the project, you must log into your GitHub account.
  3. Click on the “+” on the top right of the page and click “Create a New Repository.”
  4. Add your GitHub username exactly as the name for the repository. Click on the green “Create repository” button at the bottom.
