Data scientist is not the only job title in the data science field. Some companies use data analysts or simply analysts, so don’t get confused by these titles and focus on the type of involvement in the projects the company offers in the job description. For example, if you get a job as an analyst, but the job role requires you to perform analytical tasks that directly help executives make business decisions, you can deduce that that is a data scientist role. It doesn’t matter whether they name it analyst or data scientist.
