Creating a Hosting Account and Virtual Server

It’s straightforward to set up an account on Linode, and we can do so from the sign-up page. Once we register and provide our billing information, we can start by creating a Linode.

Note: Virtual servers with their own Internet Protocol (IP) address are also called Linodes (Linux + Node.js), similar to the original name of the company.

Setting up the hosting account

The process is straightforward and can be done through the main dashboard that we land on when we log in.
