Laws of our reality
“To be, or not to be…” contemplates Hamlet, and by asking such a childlike question, Shakespeare also ends up making a remark about the structure of reality, that we can’t be in two opposing states at the same time.
Just as physics has laws that act on every physical object, and it’s physically impossible to escape these laws, so does the world of logic.
There are some laws of thought that the cognitive objects in our mind must obey. There’d be chaos in our world otherwise. In the world of binary logic that we’re navigating, there are some situations that just can’t be in any other way. And because of these laws, some situations can never be.
