Scalability Testing

Learn what scalability testing is and its key metrics.

In the previous lessons, we discussed the basics of performance testing; now we’ll learn about the different types of performance testing in detail, starting with scalability testing.

What is scalability testing?

In this type of testing, we measure the performance of the system in terms of its capability to scale with an increased load (from a hardware and software perspective).

Let’s say a system performs well with an expected latency for 100 concurrent users. Now we have increased the load to 300 concurrent users.

🧠 Quick Question What would be the effect of increased load on the overall performance of the system?
