Python is already used in the back-end of most web-based applications. However, it does not work with the front-end of web browsers in those applications. This is where Transcrypt comes in. Transcrypt can help create more coherent web-based projects where Python is used to write the back-end and front-end. This course is primarily about using a transpiler called Transcrypt. It translates our Python code to JavaScript and then executes that JavaScript, letting us enjoy the neatness of Python with the front-end flexibility of JavaScript.

There are many useful developer tools available to help optimize your application. These were just a few that you might find useful for just about every Python React application you develop.
# What's next?


While the examples we used in this course were very basic, the concepts they demonstrate can be used as building blocks to construct much more complex applications. In review, we covered the following concepts:
- Text input, rendering lists, and using HTML forms.

- React, JSX, and converting JavaScript code.

- CSS and Material-UI styling options.

- Back-end web services and using asynchronous communication.

- Developer insights, including details of using Transcrypt, analytics, and versioning.

In part two of the course, we’ll leverage what we have already learned to build a functional, multi-featured application from the ground up that demonstrates how all of these individual building blocks can be put together and utilized in a cohesive way.
