Cyber Security protects a computer system against malicious attacksThese attacks may target specific computers or the whole network. and ensures the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of data.

As more and more people use technology to store and access their data, the need to protect user data increases. Today a single attack on a company or bank could result in the loss of millions of dollars.

Cyber Security is further divided into:

  • Network Security- the act of preventing the computer network from malicious attackers.

  • Application Security- the act of protecting the security of apps by preventing unauthorized access, protecting application data, and making applications tamper-resistant.

  • Operational Security- prevents unauthorized users from making changes to data that they do not have permissions to.
