While there is a lot of material out there about building applications with PHP, most of them focus on using a framework like Laravel or Symfony. By working with pure PHP, you will be able to focus on the core ideas instead of how a particular framework implements them.

# Developer tools
Most browsers offer "developer tools" for observing the communication between the browser and the server.
In Firefox, you can find them by opening the top-right menu (three horizontal bars):




# Network panel
Then you should select *Web Developer*.
A new menu shows up with a list of topics that might be interesting for you.
From this list, select *Network*.
You should see a new window docked at the bottom of the screen:



As the message in this new panel tells you: you should first reload the page.
You could refresh the page by pressing the *Refresh* button or by pressing `Enter` in the address bar at the top of the screen:
