The Spring Data JPA provides JPA-based data access layers via generic repositories. By implementing a repository interface in a data access object (DAO), the DAO can have CRUD features with #key# pagination: The process of dividing a sizeable response into small data chunks called pages, with sequences to move from one page to another. #key# and sorting capabilities.

Setting up and configuring Spring Data JPA involves adding the necessary dependencies, configuring a data source, defining entity classes with appropriate annotations, creating repository interfaces, and configuring them correctly. This enables seamless integration of JPA-based data access and management in our Spring application, leveraging the power of ORM.
