Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Paradox

Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Paradox

Let’s learn about a paradox that proposed that some things would need to travel faster than light.

We'll cover the following...

Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky, and Nathen Rosen took the handy Stern-Gerlach Experiment and created a thought experiment around it. The three scientists imagined what would happen if they took that apparatus of magnets and detection screens and use it to measure the spin of two highly entangled electrons.

The experimental setup was as follows. Starting with an electron emitter in the middle, emit one electron to one side and emit its entangled counterpart anti-parallel to it in the other direction. In this way, each electron will be making its way to a separate detection screen.

Knowing what maximally entangled electrons entail, the three scientists ...
