The dreaded interview process will likely be the most difficult aspect to master, given the incredible amount of stress and time needed to both prepare and do well. TPM interviews can vary widely between companies much like the role itself, so preparing for them can be particularly tricky. In addition, there are far less TPM roles than engineering roles, so finding a role that matches your skillset and then landing the role is quite daunting.

The purpose of this section is to provide you with principles and solution approaches to answer interesting and challenging TPM-type interview questions. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of questions or even common interview questions, but rather designed to help formulate a rigorous, analytical approach to any question you may face. Given that you will likely be facing questions that you’ve never heard before or be thrown a curveball by the interviewer, it is far better to know how to generically problem solve instead of memorizing a list of questions or rigid frameworks.
