Growth interview questions come in highly targeted roles focused on growth marketing, specifically analytics. Because they’re so unique, it can be difficult to formulate answers on our feet if we don’t have prior experience working through them.

The general framework for answering these questions is similar to that of other product analytics interview questions, with one exception– we want to make sure we are framing our answers in the context of growth ideas, using data points to support our hypotheses.

Growth marketing can be done with continued experimentation and strategy work at most companies. However, growth needs to be metric-driven and team-based in most cases in order to scale.

Examples of questions in this form would be:

  • How would you grow the number of comments per post on Facebook Groups?
  • What metrics would you track to measure the effectiveness of a multi-channel marketing campaign?
