Interjections

Interjections are one of the eight major parts of speech. However, they are not as crucial because interjections are not essentially required for the sentence to be clear and coherent. Interjections simply convey the way the author or speaker is feeling. Due to their informal nature, interjections are rarely used in academic writing.

Interjections usually create an impression of non-seriousness and are commonly avoided in formal academic or technical writing.
