The ability to write well is an asset for any professional. In this course, we introduced you to technical writing and how it differs from other forms of writing. We covered all steps from the outlining phase to the final revision. We focused on what differentiates a good sentence from an ordinary one and how to write a coherent and easy-to-follow paragraph. We also delved into various parts of speech and punctuation, using examples—both technical and non-technical—to ensure that you can fully utilize the richness of language when writing to convey important information clearly. The appendix lessons cover parts of speech and punctuation in greater detail, with an emphasis on common mistakes, to further help you write better.

As already mentioned in the previous lessons, to be good at writing you need to practice—a lot. To end the course, here's a tip from Stephen King, a master of the craft:

“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There’s no way around these two things that I’m aware of, no shortcut.”

Congratulations on completing this course! You have just levelled up your technical writing skills and are ready to enjoy writing and create an impact.
