Non Cloud Components Interaction

Get introduced to the cloud components we might deploy and how they interact with each other. It is crucial to consider how the cloud interacts with non-cloud components.

Introduction

Organizations use networks to connect devices and integrate systems across geographical barriers while maintaining information safety. Data is isolated from the outside world by networks, but the average user is often unaware of this. Let us deep dive to understand the various components that efficiently help communication with the cloud.

Networking components

When we think of networking components, it is a bit different in concept because we are thinking about making sure that our local network data can talk to the cloud and vice versa. There are many ways to get local to the cloud and vice versa network connection to work.

Direct connection

We can use a direct connection, which means that we are establishing a direct connection with the cloud provider such that we can communicate across that direct connection as if the networks were completely connected. However, this is done using unique leased lines. It is a win-type connection into the service provider’s network using the traditional leased lines we have used over the years. It is pretty expensive, and we not only have to pay for the leased line, but we have to pay the cloud service provider to give us the connectivity on the other end of that leased line into their network. Nevertheless, if we can justify the expensive costs incurred in the process and need it, a direct connection may be the way to go.
