AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery

Amazon Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) is a managed service provided by AWS for reliable backup and restoration of on-premises and on-cloud storage. It enables quick data recovery and minimizes application downtime caused by data loss.

Elastic Disaster recovery allows users to configure secure and continuous replication to a staging area subnet in the selected region. The staging area is designed to utilize economical storage options and fewer computing resources. The architecture of Elastic Disaster Recovery is optimized to reduce the upfront costs required for setting up replication and storing the data. It uses t3.small, the most economical compute instance for computation.
