Benefits of Autoscaling: ASGs in Action

Now that our ASG is up and running, let’s see how it behaves.

One main advantage of an ASG compared to manually created instances is its self-healing capability. If one of the instances of the ASG is unhealthy, the ASG will start a new instance automatically to replace the unhealthy one. To see it in action, let’s terminate one of our instances and check how the ASG reacts.
