# MonoRepo Directory Structure Template

For this course, the following [template](https://github.com/Educative-Content/MonoRepo-Template) will be used for our web app. Let's quickly review what this template provides and how we can take advantage of it.


Let's understand the role of every file in building our web app.

`generators`: [Plop.js](https://plopjs.com/) generators provide boilerplate code and templates that will save you time, and help you and your team in building new files with consistency.

* `/index.js`: The "Plop.js" entry file.
* `/service.js`: The service generator.

`templates`: Templates used by the generators.

* `/services`: Service templates.

  - `/google-cloud-function-http`.

`tsconfig.json`: The Typescript configuration file.

`deploy.sh`: A helper script to deploy services.

`lerna.json`: Lerna's monorepo config file.

`package-lock.json`: Used to lock dependencies to a specific version.

`package.json`: Shared dependencies and NPM scripts for all services.

`./services/`: This is an important directory we need to discuss, especially since it does not yet exist! Let's discuss it briefly.
