The C++ standard library is a collection of all the tools and utilities available in C++. It received its latest update in 2017, known as C++17. The update introduces many new features that further optimize our code. This module will help us fully grasp C++ and use it to its full potential.

C++ Standard Library

The Standard Template Library has a large number of [algorithms](http://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/algorithm) to work with containers and their elements.  As the algorithms are function templates, they are independent of the type of container elements. The glue between the containers and algorithms are the [iterators](https://www.educative.io/courses/cpp-standard-library-including-cpp-14-and-cpp-17/introduction-m2N0n25Z90R). If your container supports the interface of an STL container, you can apply the algorithms to your container.
