People Shape the Process: Adaptation and Communication
Learn about the role of adaptation and communication in agile methods and the importance of people in this context.
We'll cover the following
Adaptation
No process is a perfect fit for any organization, project, or team. Agile processes are no exception. This means we must adapt each process for our project to be successful.

– Martin Fowler Researcher and expert in UML, patterns, and agile software development methodologies and author of the book “Refactoring.”
This means it is not enough to embrace the changes to our customer’s requirements. We must also evolve and make the necessary modifications to the process and welcome them. The ability to do this comes from retrospectives. However, we must allow time for ourselves, our team, and our company to embrace the change. Do not overreact if something is not working immediately because introducing a new process always means a cost in time, a change, and even more important, the common initial reaction to every change—rejection.
