Create Your First Lesson
With Educative’s editor, you can add content to a lesson. Try to make it interactive, educational, and short.
We'll cover the following
What does a lesson look like?
Open a lesson from the collection editor page. It will take you to that lesson. Click the “EDIT” button to begin writing. This is what it looks like:
The course outline is displayed on the left side of the page.
By default, the editor is enabled as indicated by the Start Typing… message. It supports multiple widgets, complete Markdown syntax, and other text formatting options.
How to give a good rank to a lesson
Title: Add a descriptive title to your lesson. It should describe what you are trying to teach.
Summary: Write a summary that mentions the keywords/concepts covered in the lesson. It should be as concise as possible.
What if I want to revert?
The “SAVE” and “PREVIEW” buttons work the same way as they do in the collection editor, except clicking the latter won’t save the changes automatically. The “DISCARD” button deletes any changes you have made to the lesson since the last saved version and reverts it.
Every time you save a lesson, a draft for that version is stored. On the top, there is an option displaying the last time the lesson was saved. When clicked, it will open a list of saved versions. You can select any and click “RESTORE” to get the version back. Follow the illustration below.
