Who Should Take this Course

Intended Audience

This course is designed for programmers who have never programmed in Scala.

We will teach you Scala from the ground up; going over everything you need to know to write a basic program assuming you have no prior knowledge of the language. The course will also go over programming concepts found in multiple languages. Some concepts you might already be familiar with, but we assume that you aren’t.

This being said, Scala does require basic knowledge of computer fundamentals. This course is not recommended for individuals who have zero prior knowledge of programming. Furthermore, while it is not required for you to know Java (the course will assume that you don’t), it might help you pick up concepts and syntax faster if you are familiar with it.
