Virtual Machine Scale Set
Learn about virtual machine scale sets.
What is a virtual machine scale set?
A virtual machine scale set (VMSS) comprises a set of identical, load-balanced virtual machines, allowing for automatic scaling of the workload. The scale set can be configured to dynamically adjust the number of virtual machines in response to specified conditions. Additionally, manual adjustments can be made to allocate computing resources efficiently for managing our workloads.
As a result, we can scale our workloads up or down to meet changing demands. Additionally, we’ll be able to ensure that we have adequate resources.
Applications a VMSS can host
A cloud user can unleash the power of Azure VM scale sets to effortlessly host web apps, process data workloads, deploy distributed systems and mobile applications, and ensure high availability for any critical application.
Here are some capabilities of a VMSS:
Web applications
Data processing workloads
Distributed systems
Mobile Applications
Any application that we would want to make highly available ...
