Cloud Services
Understand cloud services and consumption-based models in this lesson.
What is a cloud service?
The word "cloud services" describes services made available online to cloud users on demand without purchasing infrastructure or hardware. These services are intended to give businesses and users simple, economical access to applications and resources. However, many people are unaware of the use of cloud services; they are likely to use them regularly. An example would be booking a ride to work using an application such as Uber and many other similar models.

Software as a Service (SaaS)
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

IaaS is a cloud computing service offering essential computing, storage, and networking resources on demand, on a pay-as-we-go basis. With this category of Service, we rent cloud resources such as computing, network, and storage and pay only for what we use. The fact that we are renting these resources gives us some level of responsibility and flexibility that other categories would not. As such, we can customize the services we're getting to suit our workload.
Some advantages of IaaS are shown below:
Scalability: IaaS enables enterprises to adjust the size of their computer resources as necessary. As a result, businesses may add or subtract computing capacity to accommodate shifting demands.
