Reinertsen, Donald G. 2009. The Principles of Product Development Flow: Second Generation Lean Product Development. This book contains the description of CoD and WSJF and goes into deep discussions of queueing theory, batch sizes, and increasing flow.

Humble, Jez, et al. 2015. Lean Enterprise: How High Performance Organizations Innovate at Scale. This book also discusses WSJF and is more software-specific. It renames WSJF “CD3” (Cost of Delay Divided by Duration).

Tockey, Steve. 2005. Return on Software: Maximizing the Return on Your Software Investment. This book contains a detailed discussion of economic decision making in an engineering context, including interesting discussions of decision making under risk and uncertainty.
