If you experience inefficiencies with your distributed teams because they’re not able to make decisions locally, determine whether you’re experiencing similar challenges with your teams at your primary sites. It’s possible that you are experiencing similar inefficiencies—they’re just less visible because it’s easier for the primary-site team to compensate for their lack of Autonomy by working with people who are geographically closer to them.
