Summary

Developing API experience components and developer tools makes the customer experience richer.

We'll cover the following

What did we learn?

In this chapter, we learned about the components of API experiences across documentation and developer tools that we can consider offering to our customers. In the early phases of launching our APIs, it’s possible that we only provide a subset of this vast set of tools, but over time, we can learn about the needs of our customer base to improve and expand our API experiences.

The starting point of API experience for any API is a simple API reference. Once we begin with API references in the beta phase, we can learn from our customers and invest in building more tools to enhance the experience. As our API matures, we can invest in tools that make the API experience richer.
