Lean Product Management Methodology
In this course, we focused on the key practices of Lean Product Management methodology. Combining the traditional product management role with the modern principles and practices of Lean, Lean Startup, Strategy, Innovation, and Behavioral Economics to enable sustained growth by continuously delivering to market products that customers love.
Prioritization
Lean is about doing the right thing, doing it at the right moment and in the right quantity. And to do that, you must make decisions; you must be able to say NO, and you must have the information to allow you to make the proper decision.
To prioritize work, you need to know what stage of your product’s product life cycle is currently in and how much money you want to invest. In other words, what is your level of uncertainty, and how much money do you need to reduce that uncertainty and make a decision.
Lean Analytics
The most important information you need to know is that at any given moment and based on your product strategy, your business model, and the stage in the product life cycle you are in. There are just a few metrics you should be looking at. And, a great Lean product manager knows that.
Having too many metrics or too little usually becomes a mistake. You have to change the metrics according to your business evolution.
